Salou, a destination of excellence for family tourism HOLA Família!
Salou has been awarded the certificate of family tourism destination “HOLA Família!” by the Catalan Tourism Agency, which recognises the excellence of the municipality's tourist offer, especially aimed at families. So much so that Salou meets 86% of the required requirements (31 out of 36), which makes the capital of the Costa Dorada one of the best family tourism destinations in the Mediterranean.
Weekend with pets in Salou
Salou proposes a weekend of activities to enjoy with pets, the Pet-Friendly weekend on March 25 and 26, 2023. The objective: to promote Salou as a destination for families traveling with their pets.
Salou invites visitors to save water
Faced with the widespread drought situation, the Salou Tourism Board invites visitors to save water through the "Bring memories, not water" campaign. Salou thus joins the initiative of the Generalitat de Catalunya and the Catalan Water Agency to raise awareness in the tourism sector of the need to save and reuse water.
The Costa Daurada sponsors Manchester City for women
The Costa Daurada has reached a sponsorship agreement with the Manchester City women's football team in order to promote itself in the British market until June 2023. This agreement is part of the Joint Promotion Plan in which the Tourist Boards of the Provincial Council of Tarragona Costa Daurada, Salou, Cambrils and Vila-seca, together with the Tarragona Province Hospitality and Tourism Business Federation (FEHT).
Campaign to promote shopping in Salou for all types of families
Salou has launched a campaign to encourage purchases in the municipality and promote local commerce.
With the name “Family Shopping Salou”, the campaign has the particularity that it is dedicated to all kinds of diverse and plural families, in line with the Family Tourist Destination seal that it has held since 2003.
Costa Daurada i les Terres de l'Ebre hotel association underway
After 32 years of existence, the Associació Hotelera Salou-Cambrils-la Pineda has decided to expand its scope of action to host other establishments in the territory. Thus, on May 27, 2021, the entity's general assembly decided to modify its statutes and change its name to Associació Hotelera Costa Daurada i Terres de l’Ebre to host establishments throughout the province of Tarragona.
