What to do in Salou during Holy Week 2024
If you have not yet decided where to spend these days of Easter holidays, do not hesitate and come to Salou. You can rest and do nothing else, which is a more than appealing plan, or choose one of the many possibilities that the capital of the Costa Dorada offers you. Here we leave you some proposals.
The Mare Nostrum Esei Summer Cup hosts 200 soccer teams, 40 women's
From June 22 to 25, 2023, Salou will host the 12th edition of the Mare Nostrum Esei Summer Cup football tournament. 200 national and international teams of young people between the ages of 7 and 18 will participate, of which 40 are women's teams. This means the mobilization of some 4,000 people and between 10,000 and 12,000 overnight stays on the Costa Dorada.
The Mare Nostrum Easter Cup 2022 expects 6,000 participants from April 14 to 17
Between April 14 and 17, 2022, the Mare Nostrum Easter Cup soccer tournament expects to bring together 290 male and female soccer teams, aged 8 to 19, from various autonomous and international communities in Salou. In total, some 6,000 people, including athletes and their companions, will stay in the capital of the Costa Daurada.
Eat well in Salou with the gastronomic proposals of 2022
Salou is positioning itself more and more strongly as an interesting gastronomic square due to the variety and quality of its proposals, collected in a gastronomic calendar with 12 activities to delight the palate throughout the year 2022. SOS of the tourist association to hold out until Easter 2021
The Federació Empresarial d'Hosteleria i Turisme de la província de Tarragona (FEHT) has launched an SOS for administrations to take urgent health, labor, fiscal and economic measures that help the tourism sector to endure and reach the 2021 season with minimal guarantees of survival.
The tourist forecasts for the Costa Dorada this season are optimistic, although they will not surpass that of 2017
The Costa Dorada expects good results for this season, but without breaking any record, as the aggressive offers that are made in other destinations in the Mediterranean, such as Egypt or Tunisia, will decrease the number of visitors in 2018, according to the Federació Empresarial d 'Hostaleria i Turisme de Tarragona (FEHT).
The Iberian site of La Cella may be visited this Easter
The Iberian town of La Cella, one of the most important heritage assets of the municipality of Salou, will open its doors next Easter to offer guided tours. The initiative is part of the Grup de Recerca Seminari de Protohistòria i Arqueologia of the URV and the IBER company; and has the support and collaboration of the City Council of Salou, as well as Arqueologia, Patromoni i Turisme SL., a company that was also part of the Tarragona University.
