The RallyRACC Catalunya-Costa Daurada is here
On October 18 and 19, 2024, Salou and the Costa Daurada will host the 59th edition of the RallyRACC Catalunya-Costa Daurada, the penultimate round that counts towards the Spanish Super Rally Championship (S-CER), and in which participants compete for 12 championships, trophies or cups. The total route will be 100 km, with 4 timed sections that will be repeated twice and two rounds in Salou.
Nits Daurades Salou, the biggest festival of the capital of the Costa Dorada
From August 3 to 15, 2024, Salou will experience the Nits Daurades, which is the name by which its Festival is known. In this edition, the City Council has proposed to promote and publicize local talent with a significant presence of Salou artists in the festive program, and that is why the slogan of the festival is "

This summer Salou opens a smoke-free area on the beach
This summer, Salou's Ponent beach has a marked area of almost 12,000 square meters smoke-free, that is, where you cannot smoke or vape. This area is close to the Nautical Club and includes a playground and spaces for practicing sports on the beach (calisthenics and volleyball, among others).

Salou will have 2,000 new parking spaces
Salou wants to make the stay easier for both its residents and the thousands of tourists it receives throughout the year. And to do this, it is implementing an urban transformation plan that will increase the number of parking spaces on its streets to reach 4,200 in two years.

Until September 4, 2023, the Salou City Council offers a free service of activities on the beach for families with boys and girls from 4 years of age.
The Mare Nostrum Esei Summer Cup hosts 200 soccer teams, 40 women's
From June 22 to 25, 2023, Salou will host the 12th edition of the Mare Nostrum Esei Summer Cup football tournament. 200 national and international teams of young people between the ages of 7 and 18 will participate, of which 40 are women's teams. This means the mobilization of some 4,000 people and between 10,000 and 12,000 overnight stays on the Costa Dorada.
Salou hosts the Mare Nostrum Cup, the most important soccer tournament on the Costa Daurada
Between April 6 and 9, 2023, Salou will host the XXII edition of the Mare Nostrum Cup, the most important soccer tournament on the Costa Daurada. It will mobilize more than 25,000 people and 390 teams, with an expected economic impact of 7.5 million euros.
Weekend with pets in Salou
Salou proposes a weekend of activities to enjoy with pets, the Pet-Friendly weekend on March 25 and 26, 2023. The objective: to promote Salou as a destination for families traveling with their pets.

The Minister of Culture and Sport of the Spanish Government, Miquel Iceta, has endorsed the commitment of the Salou City Council to turn the capital of the Costa Dorada into a leading sports destination. The minister attended the event organized in Madrid, within the framework of Fitur, to present its sports calendar for 2023, with 19 competitions and sports activities in different disciplines.

More places to park for free in Salou this summer
Salou City Council has enabled a new free parking space with capacity for 300 vehicles on a plot of land in Carrer del Terrer. The space has an area of 5,244.05 square meters and will operate during the summer season until November 2022.

In May, Soccer World Cup for people with brain injury
From May 1 to 17, Salou will host the 7-a-side Football World Cup for people with brain injuries, both in the male (Male World Cup) and female (Female World Cup) categories. The participation of more than 500 people from 16 countries is expected and more than 50 games will be played.
The Mare Nostrum Easter Cup 2022 expects 6,000 participants from April 14 to 17
Between April 14 and 17, 2022, the Mare Nostrum Easter Cup soccer tournament expects to bring together 290 male and female soccer teams, aged 8 to 19, from various autonomous and international communities in Salou. In total, some 6,000 people, including athletes and their companions, will stay in the capital of the Costa Daurada.
The Costa Daurada sponsors Manchester City for women
The Costa Daurada has reached a sponsorship agreement with the Manchester City women's football team in order to promote itself in the British market until June 2023. This agreement is part of the Joint Promotion Plan in which the Tourist Boards of the Provincial Council of Tarragona Costa Daurada, Salou, Cambrils and Vila-seca, together with the Tarragona Province Hospitality and Tourism Business Federation (FEHT).
