On October 18 and 19, 2024, Salou and the Costa Daurada will host the 59th edition of the RallyRACC Catalunya-Costa Daurada, the penultimate round that counts towards the Spanish Super Rally Championship (S-CER), and in which participants compete for 12 championships, trophies or cups. The total route will be 100 km, with 4 timed sections that will be repeated twice and two rounds in Salou.

This 2024, the RallyRacc Catalunya-Costa Daurada will be held on October 18 and 19, with its epicentre in Salou and PortAventura. Up to 19 activities to enjoy doing sports in Salou during 2023
Salou has excellent facilities for practicing different sports disciplines. It is also the first municipality that obtained the Sports Tourism certification and has recently added that of Bicycle Tourism and Golf. Salou hosts the European Rally Championship, which will coincide with the RalliRACC Catalunya-Costa Daurada
Motoring enthusiasts are starting to get busy this autumn, as Salou will host the European Rally Championship (ERC) and the World Championship, the RalliRACC Catalunya-Costa Daurada in October. Both will coincide for a few days, especially between October 20 and 23.
The Costa Daurada sponsors Manchester City for women
The Costa Daurada has reached a sponsorship agreement with the Manchester City women's football team in order to promote itself in the British market until June 2023. This agreement is part of the Joint Promotion Plan in which the Tourist Boards of the Provincial Council of Tarragona Costa Daurada, Salou, Cambrils and Vila-seca, together with the Tarragona Province Hospitality and Tourism Business Federation (FEHT).
On October 23 and 24 the RallyRACC Catalunya-Costa Daurada returns
As every October for 15 years, the RAllyRACC Catalunya-Costa Daurada returns to Salou and the Costa Dorada. This time it will be on the 23rd and 24th but the test will not score for the World Rally Championship after 29 editions, but it will do for the Spanish Super Championship and for the Catalonian Championship.
The 2020 edition of the RallyRACC Catalunya-Costa Daurada has been suspended
The 56th edition of the RallyRACC Catalunya-Costa Daurada scoring for the Championships of Spain and Catalonia has been suspended. This test was to be held on October 23 and 24, 2020, with Salou and PortAventura as the epicenter, but the uncertain situation for COVID-19 has motivated the RACC to suspend it.
Salou adds the Golf Brand to its quality labels for Sports and Family Tourism
Improving the quality of its tourism offer is a primary objective for the City Council and for the Salou Tourism Board, and for this reason this year they have added the Marca Golf label to those that it already had as a Sports Tourism and Family Tourism Destination.
The new badge has been achieved thanks to the collaboration with Lumine Golf Club, which brings together 3 golf courses in the surroundings of PortAventura World Parks & Resort.
Tapas Rally: Salou's gastronomic experience for autumn
With the arrival of autumn and the RallyRACC Catalunya-Costa Daurada, Salou presents the eighth edition of the Tapas Rally, from October 18 to 27, with 5 more restaurants than in the previous year. There are already 35, 7 of which also offer a lid for the little ones, which offer a lid and a fifth of beer for 2.5 euros.
64 teams registered in the 55 RallyRACC Catalunya-Costa Daurada
The 55 edition of the RallyRACC Catalunya-Costa Daurada, which will be held between October 24 and 27, has 64 registered teams from 24 different countries. 11 of the participating vehicles will compete in the World Cup (WRC) while 28 are of the R5 class (WRC2 Pro and WRC2 categories).

From October 24 to 27, 2019, Salou and the Costa Dorada will host the scoring event for the rally world RallyRacc Catalunya-Costa Daurada. This is the only mixed rally in the world that combines dirt and asphalt. It will cover almost 1,300 km and the organization expects to exceed 190,000 spectators last year.
The Salou Rally of Salou "starts" in the kitchens next Friday
Coinciding with the start of the RallyRacc-Catalunya Costa Daurada, Salou organizes a very different "rally": that of gastronomy. From October 19 to 28 a new edition of the Tapas Rally begins, which will take advantage of the increase in visitors to the city due to the sports event. Some thirty establishments will participate with their best gastronomic creations in the form of tapas that visitors and followers of the motor world will be able to taste. They will go to the capital of the Costa Dorada to see the vehicles participating in the rally.
The participation of 76 teams in the RallyRACC 2018 reaffirms its success
The increase of competitors in the RallyRACC Catalunya-Costa Daurada, Rally of Spain 2018, confirms the success of this test at the international level. In this edition, the 54th, 76 teams have been registered, 14 are from the category WRC and 25 are R5, majority of category WRC2. The World Championship will arrive in Barcelona in a moment of maximum expectation and will have a nourished Spanish representation, headed by Dani Sordo-Carlos del Barrio (Hyundai).
The RallyRACC Catalunya-Costa Daurada will debut new routes in 2018
A dozen new timed stages, which will pass through the Terra Alta, are the main novelty of the 54th edition of the RallyRACC, which will have one of the two timed events in Salou. Last Thursday the test was presented at the Auditorium of the Provincial Council of Tarragona, entity that promotes the test, along with its Tourist Board, the City Council of Salou and PortAventura World.
Salou, world capital of the Rally
From 5 to 8 October 2017, the Salou-PortAventura World-Costa Dorada triangle will once again be the epicenter of the World Rally Championship (WRC) event in Spain. With 53 editions of the RallyRacc, this will be the 13th consecutive edition that runs along the roads of Tarragona.
