Salou, a tourist destination that surprises and grows even if it is not summer
“Salou is a municipality that never runs out. It surprises and never ceases to surprise.” With this sentence the mayor of Salou, Pere Granados, explains the good results achieved in the 2023 tourist season, which consolidate the municipality as the undisputed capital of the Costa Daurada and as one of the most important tourist destinations in Catalonia and Spain.
The Mare Nostrum Esei Summer Cup hosts 200 soccer teams, 40 women's
From June 22 to 25, 2023, Salou will host the 12th edition of the Mare Nostrum Esei Summer Cup football tournament. 200 national and international teams of young people between the ages of 7 and 18 will participate, of which 40 are women's teams. This means the mobilization of some 4,000 people and between 10,000 and 12,000 overnight stays on the Costa Dorada.

From May 1 to 17, Salou will host the 7-a-side Football World Cup for people with brain injuries, both in the male (Male World Cup) and female (Female World Cup) categories. The participation of more than 500 people from 16 countries is expected and more than 50 games will be played.
