In September, celebration of the Feast of King Jaume I
From 5 to 8 September 2024, Salou celebrates the departure of King Jaume I from the Port of Salou to conquer Mallorca. During these days, various cultural, sporting and recreational activities will remember that historic moment with the Medieval Market, the historical recreation of the royal departure, conferences, workshops and a regatta, among other events.

From May 3 to 5, 2024, Paseo Jaume I hosts the best gastronomic fair on the Costa Daurada, Sabor Salou. With 42 participating establishments, more than 40,000 people are expected and the distribution of 50,000 tastings of high-quality local products, in addition to gastronomic workshops, tastings and other activities completely free.

The Camino de Ronda de Salou already adds 1,250 meters more and reaches La Pineda, in the neighboring municipality of Vila-seca, after the intervention carried out by the Port Authority of Tarragona, which has invested more than 86,000 euros in the adaptation of the space between Cap Salou and La Pineda beach. The Mayor of Salou, Pere Granados, together with the Municipal Corporation, met in front of the doors of the Salou Town Hall to read an institutional declaration condemning the military invasion of Ukraine, supporting the Ukrainian people and committing to peace. How to get around Salou on an electric scooter
The Salou City Council has modified its traffic ordinance to regulate the circulation of personal mobility vehicles (VMP) through the municipality, and especially electric scooters and assisted pedal bicycles. The ordinance is agreed with the neighboring municipalities of Cambris and Vila-seca.
