From 5 to 8 September 2024, Salou celebrates the departure of King Jaume I from the Port of Salou to conquer Mallorca. From January 26 to February 5, 2024, Salou is experiencing an intense Winter Festival with the novelty of the change of location of the Coso Blanco, the central and most representative event of the festival, which moves to Passeig Jaume I. Salou festival 2019: 30 years of segregation
The biggest festival that Salou celebrates each year in October has a special significance for this year because 30 years ago the segregation of Salou and its constitution in an independent municipality of Vila-seca. The municipal budget of Salou for 2019 exceeds 47 million euros
Salou will count for the next year with a budget of 47,021,500 euros and will allocate 5.8 million euros to municipal investments. In addition to the approval of the accounts, in the same plenary session, the City Council agrees to the adhesion of the city to the Association of Tourism Municipalities of Sun and Beach AMT, whose statutes have been approved.
Thirty activities complete the program of the Festa Major of October
Salou volverá a estar de fiesta esta próxima semana, cuando se celebra la Fiesta Mayor del 30 de octubre, aunque los actos comienzan ya el sábado 20. Uno de los actos más simbólicos de la fiesta es el Pregón, que este año irá a cargo de Josep Abelló Padró, exalcalde de Reus y que ocupó este cargo de 1985 a 1999. Dentro de las celebraciones, también destacan el 15 aniversario del Baile de Bastones. Esta efeméride servirá también para presentar el vestuario de noche-gala del grupo, además de otras actividades.
