Pirates and corsairs that have marked the history of Salou
“Els pirates de Salou” is an entertaining book published by the Salou City Council, with illustrations by Pilarín Bayés, with more than 100 stories or historical notes about pirates and corsairs, who attacked the coast of Salou for 400 years.
Visit the Contemporary Enamel Museum in the Torre Vella in Salou
The Torre Vella de Salou houses a unique museum: the Contemporary Enamel Museum, a collection of enamels from all over the world, either by acquisitions, donations or deposits, which has reopened its doors to visitors after its closure for the pandemic.

La Torre Vella de Salou was built by the Archbishop of Tarragona Pere Cardona in 1530 with the aim to protect and warn the city of pirate attacks and looting.

The centre of art of the Torre Vella shows the abstract art of the Barcelonan Neus Roig
The centre of art of the Torre Vella receive since this Thursday 17 of October a sample of the Barcelonan artist Neus Roig, who proposes by means of his painting a world of outbreaks of colours and of abstract contrasts. The Barcelonan artist exposes to Salou a group of abstract works of big format that will be able to visit until the 9 of November. The schedule of visit of the exhibition will be of Monday to Saturday from 6 to 9pm.
