Salou invites visitors to save water
Faced with the widespread drought situation, the Salou Tourism Board invites visitors to save water through the "Bring memories, not water" campaign. Salou thus joins the initiative of the Generalitat de Catalunya and the Catalan Water Agency to raise awareness in the tourism sector of the need to save and reuse water.
The Blue Flag flies again on the Llevant and Capellans beaches
The Llevant and Capellans beaches in Salou have renewed the Blue Flag this 2022 that certifies their environmental quality and services, awarded by an international jury of the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE). In addition to this distinction, the main beaches and coves of Salou bear nationally and internationally recognized quality labels.

The Mayor of Salou, Pere Granados, together with the Municipal Corporation, met in front of the doors of the Salou Town Hall to read an institutional declaration condemning the military invasion of Ukraine, supporting the Ukrainian people and committing to peace. The blue flags that certify the quality of Salou's beaches already fly on their masts until the end of summer. The mayor of the municipality and president of the Tourist Board, Pere Granados, has raised the blue flags on the beaches of Llevant and Capellans; the Q flag for Tourist Quality in Llevant and Ponent, and the ISO 14.001: 2005 flags on all beaches in the capital of the Costa Dorada.

End of the season of beaches in the second year without fatalities
The Department of Local Police and Civil Protection of Salou has valued very positively the season of beaches that has concluded these days, especially for being the second year in which no fatalities have been recorded. This fact has led the councilman of the area, David Gonzalez, to say that "we can say that it has been a very good season".
The improvement of beach services and the quality are a priority objective in Salou
Salou has been identified throughout history for having quality beaches, which are recognized with ISO 14,001 quality control, blue flags and quality Q. These recognitions were externalized to Salouenses with a symbolic act held in the plaza of the Autonomous Communities in which flags were raised on the beaches of the municipality.
