Salou. Costa Dorada. 06 September 2023. The Olympus Palace Hotel in Salou will hold a solidarity cocktail on September 20, 2023 to raise funds that will be allocated entirely to the Rosa Maria Vivar Foundation, a non-profit entity in Reus dedicated to the fight against Alzheimer's.
This will be the third edition of the charity event organized by the Olympus Palace since 2019. The first year the funds raised were allocated to the fight against cancer and last year they were dedicated to autism.
This year's solidarity cocktail has the motto 'Remember me' and will be held on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at 8 p.m., on the spectacular Summit rooftop of the Olympus Palace hotel. The solidarity cocktail will be attended by Michelin-starred chef Pep Moreno, from the Deliranto restaurant in Salou. DJ Javi Hidalgo and musician Philipe Stanton will also perform. In addition, the solidarity initiative has the collaboration of Estrella Damm, Clos Galena, Álvarez Catalunya, Port Aventura and Parc Samà.
At the presentation of the solidarity cocktail, Gil Cristià, on behalf of the Olympus Palace hotel property, explained that “we are very excited to continue giving continuity to this type of event and we hope it will be a success. We like to have this social responsibility with the territory and to be able to help entities like the Rosa Maria Vivar Foundation.” He has also explained that “it will be a cocktail with live music, with different surprises, raffles and in an incomparable space. “It will be a very special evening.”
For her part, the president of the Rosa Maria Vivar Foundation board, Margarita Oliva, explained that “as a non-profit entity, we now focus our efforts on research in the field of Alzheimer's prevention. The scientific community tells us that cognitively healthy aging is possible. She also tells us that in 40% of cases we could prevent dementia by acting on modifiable risk factors. And that this prevention must begin in childhood. "Solidarity events, such as the cocktail party at the Olympus Palace Hotel in Salou, help finance these Alzheimer's research and prevention projects."
