The small festival and torchlight rosary in Reus for parties of Misericordia

Reus. Costa Dorada. On 23 th September, children are the protagonists with the exit from the Casa Rull at 6.30pm of the parade for children of the Seguici popular. It will involve groups such as the Ball de Diables Infantil, the Drac petit, the Nanos petits, the Mulasseta, the Gegants Fadrins, the Ball de Pastorets petit, the Ball de Cercolets petit, the Ball de Prims petit, the Ball de Bastonets de l’Esbart Santa Llúcia, the Ball de Valencianets, the Ball de Gitanetes, the Ball de Bastonets de l’Esbart de l’Orfeó, the Canalla dels Xiquets de Reus and the Music group from Pare Manyanet. The Cercavila for children will go through the streets of San Juan, plaza de Prim, carrer Monterols and will end with a performance at the plaça del Mercadal.   Also for the grown-ups, at 8pm will be held at the City Hall the XVII Meeting of the Misericòrdies, at which the major will wellcome the Group de las Misericòrdies. Later at 10pm at the Plaça del Mecadal, the Group Voces de Reus will performe havaneras and at the Suau, people will be able to enjoy the third semi final of the music contest Enganxa´t a la música 2009.   On 24th September, the touch of celebration that heralds the eve of the Feast of Mercy will be at 12pm from the Belfry and will be repeated at 7pm the festive touch at the bell tower and from different parts of downtown, with the exit of the Parade, figures, dance and the dances that shall walk the streets. From here all day Reus is a party. At 6pm, Plaça Evarist Fàbregas will host a puppet show with the company La Baldufa and the show Mess on the farm. At 7pm and 8.30pm will come the parade of Bou and Masclet respectively, departuring from plaça Mercadal with the elements of courtship and different musical accompaniments.   From the Plaça de la Pastoreta, will start at 11.30pm the Rosario de Antorchas, headed by the cross and candlesticks, the banner of the Cultural Group of Mercies and followed by the people with torches. Like every year, the rosary will end the tour inside the Shrine, where the singing of the joys and veneration of the Virgin of Mercy takes place. At the same time, at the Pescaderias viejas, there will be the Orchestra verbena Cadillac. At 00hs options for verbena multiply in the Plaza del Mercadal with the MidnightOrchestra and Se atormenta una vecina or at the Plaza del Castillo, an electronic verbena option by the Cultural Association Parsley's Sounds with DJ's and projections.
