La Pineda hosts the exhibition Origins. Five milestones in human evolution'
La Pineda. Costa Dorada. 4th July 2012. Once again, specifically the 15th, the Obra Social "la Caixa" and the Municipal Tourism Vilaseca a la Pineda PortaƱa to the most famous exhibitions of the summer season. Mayor Vilaseca, Josep Poblet, the President of the Municipal Tourism Vilaseca, Xavier Graset, general secretary of the Obra Social "la Caixa", Lluis Reverter and general delegate of "la Caixa" Tarragona, Empar Martinez presented, with presence of representatives of organizations of Pineda, the exhibition Origins. Five milestones in human evolution 'that you can visit the tent installed on Passeig de Pau Casals La Pineda. The exhibition will remain open until August 30 reconstructs different stages of evolution, life forms of different hominids of 10 million years ago, when Dryopithecus populated the humid forests of Europe, or for 35,000 years, when Homo sapiens had paintings in the caves. In this respect Louis Reverter, general secretary of the Obra Social "la Caixa", pointed out that this exhibition seeks to explain where we came from and reflect on our future. The exhibition combines scientific rigor with a willingness informative: sets of realistic size and reproductions of individuals of different species are some of the elements that constitute the museum displays. Mayor Vilaseca, Josep Poblet said that this disclosure will allow us to promote our culture at home and teach to the world. According to figures from previous years, an estimated 30,000 people visited the exhibition. Hours are Monday through Sunday from 11 to 14 and 18 to 23 and guided tours are held throughout the week at 11 and 19h, and every Friday at 21.15h.
