The Diputació and La Caixa promote the protection of the Natural Park of Delta del Ebro
Tarragona. Terres de l'Ebre. A group of workers provided by the private foundation Pere Mata carried out tasks for the protection of the flora of the Natural Park of the Ebro´s delta and the area of Balthazar Fangs. This action is part of the social and environmental cooperation agreement signed between the Provincial Obra Social "la Caixa" for the integration of groups at risk of social exclusion through actions in natural territory. Specifically, work on the elimination of invasive alien species that have been gaining ground in different areas of the park. Also replant native species in areas previously agreed with the technical direction of space, and will be cleared tasks. Likewise, over 20 kilometers of beaches in different course s'acotaran park with twine nesting areas, to protect them because they are busy areas for visitors to the park. Regarding psychosocial objectives, the project enables a group of people at risk of social exclusion to develop these tasks, makes contact with the natural environment to contribute to an improvement of the people affected psychopathological mental illness, and reinforce the independence, the relational aspect, which is developed by working in a team outdoors. This project, which allocated 90,000 euros, has officially through an agreement signed by the chairman of the council, Josep Poblet, and the president of the foundation, Gloria Maria Salvadó, in a ceremony at the Palace of the Provincial . Attended by the responsible institutions of "la Caixa" in Tarragona, Gene Edward, and the director of the business area of the bank, Enric Dalmau.
