The chef Joan Roca opens the second Tarragona dTapes
Tarragona. Costa Dorada. First the theory and then practice. This is what has been staged in Tarragona chef Joan Roca, the restaurant El Celler de Can Roca, awarded three Michelin stars and star of "show cooking" which has been organized as a headlining act to promote the second edition of Tarragona DTapas. Rock has said that "the tapas are some creations of our culture, miniature dishes that concentrate the best of our culinary experience and is an ideal formula to raise awareness of our values." The commissioner has praised "the excellent initiative of the Tarragona DTapas and highlighted the cooperation and "good harmony between the catering sector and institutions to achieve this important achievement." Joan Roca explained different creations first emerging from the kitchen of the restaurant driving with his two brothers, Josep and Jordi. After that, we stand behind the kitchen and spend the most anticipated of the day: practice. And here is where the chef has seen in its purest form producing a series of caps that have captivated and surprised the large audience in the Aula Miquel Viñes which is where cooking has developed this sample. Previously, there has been the official presentation of the second edition of Tarragona DTapas with the family photo of the 36 restaurateurs who take part (30 of Tarragona and six Torredembarra Marina), accompanied by Joan Roca Roca, Albert Abelló, chairman of the House of Tarragona, Josep Martí, president of the Hospitality Association of Employers of the province of Tarragona (AEHT) and Josep Graset, president of the Tourism Commission of the Chamber of Tarragona. Tarragona DTapas, which begins April 16 and ending on May 2, is an initiative of the House and the AEHT.
