The Complex Esportiu Futbol Salou will host this competition with teams from Germany, England, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Spain, Holland, Iran, Ireland, Northern Ireland, Thailand, Ukraine, USA, Venezuela and Japan. Only Australia, Spain, USA, Holland and Japan present men's and women's teams, while the rest of the countries participate only in the men's competition.

The men's World Cup will open on May 1 at 5 p.m., and then the first match will be held, at 6 p.m., between the teams of Spain and Ukraine. The group stage will be played until May 7 and the semifinals will be on May 12. The women's world championship, which is the first time it has been organized, will open on May 11 at 9 in the morning. After the opening ceremony, the first match between the Spanish and Japanese teams will be held at 9:45 a.m. In this case, the group stage will be played between May 11 and 15, and the final will be on May 17 at 12:45 p.m. An hour later, the closing ceremony and the awarding of medals and trophies will take place.

It should be noted that all the matches can be followed, via streaming, through the Esports+ platform of the Unió de Federacions Esportives de Catalunya (UFEC).

Other activities

Other activities that will take place within the framework of these World Cups are a women's campus, from May 15 to 18, and the conference on female empowerment in the world of sport, open to the public, at the Cambrils Park Resort. The talk will be on May 11 at 6:00 p.m., and will be given by the Wise association.

In addition, within the framework of this sporting activity, the educational centers of Salou received awareness-raising sessions at the beginning of April, in which some 1,200 students participated, in total. The participating centers were the Santa María del Mar, Salou, Europa, Vora Mar and Elisabeth schools. Students from the Institut Jaume I, Marta Mata and the Escola Internacional del Camp also participated.

The mayor of Salou, Pere Granados, participated in the presentation of both competitions; the president of the Catalan Sports Federation of Cerebral Palsy (FECPC), Carles Muñoz; the Councilor for the Promotion of Sports, Daniel López; and the manager of the FECPC, Ismael Sánchez.

Granados stressed that "this important competition consolidates us in terms of sports and inclusive tourism", especially in terms of football. In this sense, it should be noted that Salou has the Sports Tourism seal, in the form of football, awarded by the Catalan Tourist Board in 2013.

For his part, the president of the Catalan Sports Federation of Cerebral Palsy (FECPC), Carles Muñoz, mentioned the presence of Ukraine in the competition, and thanked the supportive economic collaboration, at a general level, which has allowed this country to participate despite the war.

The Catalan Sports Federation of Cerebral Palsy

The FECPC is a private non-profit entity of public utility and civic and social interest, whose purpose is the promotion and development of sport as an inclusive tool aimed at children and adolescents with cerebral palsy or brain injury that prevents them from their full motor development.

The FECPC advises public and private entities in the processes of integration and inclusion, as well as attention to diversity, through sport.
