The Sangulí campsite, considered one of the best in Europe, has obtained a license from the Salou City Council to improve its facilities and replace various mobile homes with 40 bungalows, in an area that occupies 7,621 square meters. The planned investment is 1,260,000 euros.
The project plans to install 1, 2 and 3 bedroom bungalows, with surfaces of 59.8 square meters, 74.8 square meters, 94.20 square meters and 112 square meters. The forecast is to locate 10 bungalows of each type in an area of the campsite that is below the swimming pool, the supermarket and the restaurant area.
Most of the bungalows will have direct access from the existing streets of the Sangulí campsite through the garden areas and will have the exterior privatized. Only 16 units will be located in the central part, from a palm tree promenade that widens at the midpoint to give way to a larger space as a plaza.
After the Governing Board of the Salou City Council has approved the granting of a building license to the Sangulí campsite, valid for 18 months, the mayor of Salou, Pere Granados, said that this investment "is a good sign that the companies of our municipality reinvest to improve their facilities, given that not only does the service win for tourism, but they also demonstrate that they have full confidence that the social and economic situation will improve and we will be able to return to normality. "
For his part, the Councilor for Land and Housing Management, Marc Montagut, has indicated that "this is an important project that will raise the quality and category of accommodation facilities, which has received important awards in recent years, given that it is one of the best campsites in Europe".
