The City of Salou has decided not to celebrate this year the main festival of mid-August, better known as the Nits Daurades, which in full swing of the tourist season filled with events of all kinds the capital of the Costa Dorada, including large concerts with the first stars of the Spanish music scene with Maldita Nerea, Rosario, Luis Fonsi, Fangoria, Macaro and a tribute to Mecano.
The coronavirus health crisis and the resulting economic crisis have finally decided the municipal government not to celebrate this party and to allocate the economic resources planned for the party to the economic revival of Salou.
This has been communicated by the mayor of Salou, Pere Granados, who explained that "we will be austere in the celebrations, since we consider that the priorities are, right now, others, such as helping the companies and families from Salou to make the most of them forward in the context of this new reality.
