This Christmas Salou offers a very attractive novelty for the smallest of the house and for their families: some showy and giant figures of Christmas motifs decorate the main streets of the municipality, and invite you to take pictures and interact with them. For this reason, the Salou Tourist Board has launched an Instagram contest that encourages families to walk through the streets of Salou and take pictures with the figures.
The figures represent motifs related to Santa Claus and the manger and are located in Barcelona street, in Via Roma (in front of the Municipal Market of Salou), in Bonet square, in Ferrocarril square, and in Pier Pier , next to the beach.
The figures are not luminous, so the mayor of Salou, Pere Granados, has highlighted "the most sustainable aspect of this playful initiative, which allows children to get to know the city better and for children to have fun and take family photographs to the memory".
In addition, municipal services disinfect the figures daily to ensure the health and safety of people.
