Salou. Costa Dorada. 22 October 2024. From October 25 to November 3, 2024, Salou is themed to offer the best Halloween celebration on the Costa Daurada: Salouween. Special commercial activity, chestnut festival and Halloween for the little ones and families, the parade of monsters and zombies, and of course Salouween Street on Passeig Jaume I, with gastronomic offerings, music and shows.

Until October 31, Salou's shops will be decorated with Halloween motifs and will be organizing a raffle for two tickets to PortAventura for purchases made in the establishments.

In addition, on October 25th, from 5pm, in the Plaza del Carrilet, children will be able to pick up a bag with which they can go to the shops participating in the campaign to collect the sweets and chocolates that will be given away at this Trick or Treat party.

On October 31st, also at 5pm, in the same Plaza del Carrilet there will be a mini-disco, a hot chocolate party and a make-up workshop, among other activities, so that they can participate, from 7.30pm, in the monster and zombie parade.

Zombie parade and Salouween Street

The Parade will leave on October 31st from the Masia Tous and in this edition it will be extended with 3 floats and 4 companies from Salou that will perform during the parade. The rest of the public can join the parade following the instructions of the organization. From 5.30pm there will be a make-up marathon at Masia Tous, so that anyone who wants to join the zombie parade afterwards can dress up appropriately. To participate in this activity it is essential to purchase a ticket in advance at the Masia itself from 28 October.

The route of the Zombie Parade goes through Montserrat Street, Ciutat de Reus, Via Roma, Plaza Francesc Macià and Via Roma until reaching the Teatro-Auditorio de Salou (TAS) square, where the horror and gore play “Esta peli la he visto” will be performed from 9pm. The play is for audiences aged 12 and over, and offers an interactive experience.

The main attraction of Salouween is Salouween Street, the celebration space with catering, music, shows, and entertainment, including a children's area in Passeig Jaume I of Salou. In total, 21 establishments are taking part in this activity, which this year will extend its opening hours and will open every day of the Salouween from 12 noon to 12 midnight. The aim is to facilitate the participation of families in this unique open-air festival.

“Salou has life beyond the summer”

At the presentation of this third edition of the Salouween, the mayor of Salou, Pere Granados, praised the great success that the organisation of this festival has meant for Salou, since the first edition has been a success in terms of participation. “It is very important for Salou - he said - because with Salouween the autumn-winter season begins, with very intense activity until the main festival on 30 October”, and he concluded by saying that “Salou has life beyond the summer”.

Granados recalled that the City Council has been working for some time to de-seasonalise tourist activity in Salou, “so that the municipality has an economy 365 days a year”.

At the presentation, the mayor was accompanied by the councillors for Economic Development, Héctor Maiquez, Youth and Children, Noelia Izaquierdo, Festivals, Xavier Montalà, and Culture, Julia Gómez, all of them responsible for the organisation of the various activities of Salouween 2024.

The presentation event took place at Masia l’Esquerrer, with a unique passage of terror around a cannibal party, which terrifyingly surprised those in attendance.
