Salou. Costa Dorada. 22 March 2022. Salou presses the accelerator in the gastronomic calendar of the municipality to offer the best rice dishes prepared by 15 restaurants in the capital of the Costa Dorada, within the framework of the Rice Gastronomic Days. Until April 10, 2022, the 15 establishments offer a menu where the main dish is rice, cooked with meat, fish, shellfish and vegetables, in different ways to delight the palate with some of the most versatile cereals in the kitchen.

The Deliranto chef, Michelin star Pep Moreno, as president of the Associació d'Empresaris d'Hostaleria de Salou, in the presentation of the conference, recalled that with rice, "a very versatile and international product, you can make a sushi, a Thai rice, a frying pan or a stew; and in each restaurant you can find a unique way of cooking it and representing the culinary and identity diversity of the population”.
For his part, the mayor of Salou, Pere Granados, said that "we have a series of restoration professionals who make the municipality, today, a leading tourist destination at a Catalan, state and international level, considered a reference; which has taken a very important qualitative leap, and that has a high-quality offer, with products from the territory, such as rice and Corpinnat”.
The Councilor for Economic Dynamization, Hèctor Maiquez, has expressed his satisfaction because "with the return to normality, catering establishments can resume their economic activity and get involved in initiatives to promote gastronomy."
