New edition of FESTAST for the weekend of March 8 to 11th
Tortosa. Terres de l´Ebre. January 25, 2013. Tortosa City Council prepares a new edition of the fair food Terres de l'Ebre FESTAST, a biannual event that both the public sector and quite successfully hosted the first two editions. FESTAST will be held on 8, 9, 10 and 11 March in the exhibition pavilion of Tortosa. The first three days the fair is open to the general public, while Monday, 11 March is the day dedicated to visitors. The organization maintains the target surface and repeat exhibitors as last year, 4,000 m2 with 71 companies, which were distributed over 11 .000 tastings. This year will keep the prices of the drinks and there is a discount of 25% of the exhibitors. Among the new highlights the presence of a delegation from Le Puy-en-Velay, twin city to Tortosa and the Haute-Loire region of France to present his cuisine. The mayor of Tortosa, Fernando Bel, Councillor for Emili Lehmann and director of Fair Tortosa, Ramon Fernando, presented the details of this new edition of FESTAST is already warming up. The sectors that will be present in 2013 are FESTAST, among other designations of origin (wine, champagne and oils), quality products, distributors, producers, organic, restaurants, shops, bakery, culinary tourism, schools kitchen, etc.. Under FESTAST will be tasting new product introductions and cooking demonstrations. Councilman Emilio Lehmann pointed out the success that gave the industry the latest edition of the professional conference, which was attended by more than 400 people from the kitchen and hope to repeat this year. Lehmann also pointed to Lorenzo Torrado culinary prizes will be awarded under FESTAST. The mayor praised the health of the fair sector-which has ended up at the request of Biannual sector itself, so as not to coincide with the fair food, made in Barcelona. Also announced that it is working to launch a new contest fair by public-private collaboration. Bel had words of gratitude to the councilman who pushed for Economic FESTAST, Richard Fores, during the previous term.
